In this episode, I'll share my thoughts on the Firewire Mashup in good waves. I took the 5'8" Firewire Mashup on a family-surf trip to Dominican Republic. We are staying in Cabarete at El Encuentro Surf Lodge. It's located on the north coast of the island of Hispaniola.

The main surf break is 50 yards away. Encuentro Beach has a few different spots within 1 mile distance and when the North swell fills in, it lights up all of them. While I was there, it wasn't really lining up. The swell was coming from the East and in general it is not ideal for most breaks in Encuentro however it made the rights somewhat to work and I scored fun 3-5 ft waves with clean/semi clean conditions.
