Today I'm showing how I added a skimmer to our Bestway above ground pool that we purchased from Costco. We've had an Intex pool before and got 10 greats years of use out of it. After a couple years of not having a pool we decided to get one this summer. We like everything about this Bestway pool, except for the fact that it did not come with any type of skimmer. I did some searching online and found the Intex skimmer and wondered if it would work. For the most parts, its a direct plug and play situation, other than the supplied plug for the second inlet being too large. My work around works. You could also drill a hole in the plug supplies by bestway with the pool, but then you wouldn't have a solid plug if you needed one during the winter.
Overall this thing has worked great with the sand filter supplied with out pool. It has kept the pool clean easier than the small cartridge style filter we had with out previous Intex pool.
