In this video I describe my own personal experiences hunting wild hogs with the 30-30 Winchester cartridge, from smaller hogs to huge boars and whether or not I recommend using it for hog hunting.
Throughout all of my hog hunting with the 30-30 Winchester, I’ve used the traditional 150 & 170 grain soft point bullets common to the cartridge, from all of the major ammo companies.
Over 20 years of hunting wild hogs in Texas on public and private land, I’ve successfully taken more feral hogs than I can accurately recall. Hog hunting is an extremely fun activity that just about anyone can get into. I highly suggest it!
