Indian broadcaster releases MiG-29K video on fire as it falls from the sky
Although investigations into the incident are ongoing, preliminary reports indicate that fighter jets experienced bird attacks in the air. Both pilots survived by successfully removing.
Local broadcaster GOA 365 has published recordings showing the Indian MiG-29K falling from the sky with one of its engines on fire. The jet crashed near a church in the village of Verna, Goa state. The right jet engine did not function immediately after taking off from the INS HANSA naval air station in Dabolim for a training mission.
While the exact cause of the incident is still unclear, the initial version was that the jet experienced a bird attack, even though the aircraft had a certain level of protection against foreign objects entering the engine inlet.

MiG Corporation, which manufactures the jet, has expressed readiness to assist in the investigation of the incident, adding that it has no specific information on the matter except that the two pilots made it out and survived.
