In this video you’ll see how the grounding electrode system is installed at a single-family dwelling. This system consists of (1) #2 AWG Aluminum grounding electrode conductor (GEC) that gets attached to the in-house water piping system within 5’ of entering the home and (2) new 10’ copper ground rods that are attached with #6 AWG copper. ALL of these conductors get bonded to the system grounded neutral conductor at the main disconnect thus creating a solidly-grounded electrical system (120-240 volts alternating current, nominal).
