We have your weekend weather outlook as high pressure crosses New Zealand then all next week this same high influences our weather, bringing light winds, plenty of dry weather and warmer than average conditions both by day and night.
It’s all caused by the placement of this large high which will encourage a northerly flow that increasingly becomes sub-tropical next week and lifts overnight lows into double digits at times across both islands. Daytime highs will climb into the late teens and early 20s.
There are some rain clouds in the Tasman Sea though - and heavy rain is expected this weekend in Fiordland and then again later next week in NZ’s west.
