Cleaning the Mass Air Flow Sensors is often an easy way to improve starting and running of an engine.

The MAF sensor ensures that patrol and air mix together at the correct ratio. If the mixture is too rich or too lean, it will affect pretty much everything to do with how the engine runs. A dirty MAF sensor will corrupt the readings and screw up the mixture.
