CLEVELAND, Ohio (WKRC) -- Dozens of protesters who were arrested in Cleveland appeared in court Monday, May 25. They were protesting after the acquittal of a white patrolman in the deaths of two unarmed, black drivers. Most pleaded no contest to reduced charges and were sentenced to time served. A handful pleaded not guilty. Cleveland police arrested 71 people Saturday night, May 23, after a day of mostly peaceful protests turned more aggressive.
