Join me as I drive my new BMW M2 Competition through four famous Alpine Passes on September 4th, 2019. We begin in the village of Andermatt where a petrol station was featured in the 1963 James Bond movie Goldfinger.
From Andermatt we TimeLapse drive east over the Oberalppass and continue to Disentis/Mustér before turning south. We drive past the Arch dam Santa Maria in the Lukmanierpass before passing the Church of San Vittore Mauro in Blenio. After passing Torre and Acquarossa we turn north west on the A2(E35) and head towards Gotthard Pass.
We first drive up to the top of Passo del San Gottardo along National Road 2 but once there, decide to drive back down to drive up the old Tremola route instead. We stop at Punto Panoramico San Gottardo on the way down. The Tremola cobblestone road is incredibly twisty with 24 hairpin bends, over a length of four kilometers it climbs a height of 300 meters.
From Gottard Pass we head north towards Andermatt and then west to the famous Furka and Grimsel Passes, both which are Bucket List roads to drive. We stop for a picture at Hotel Furkablick before continuing towards Hotel Belvedere. The Furkapass and Hotel Belvedere were both featured in the James Bond film Goldfinger. [ Ссылка ]
After passing Hotel Belvedere we descend into the valley to cross the Rhône river before ascending to the Grimselpass. After passing the turquoise Räterichsbodensee reservoir and dam, we continue north to the village of Innertkirchen. After filling up with petrol we backtrack along the same route, stopping for a picture in the Grimselpass before chasing two red Ferraris down to the Grand Hotel Glacier du Rhône. From there we drive up to Hotel Belvedere and cross the Furkapass one last time before heading back to the hotel in Andermatt.
