The kunefe is a traditional Arabic dessert made with shredded phyllo, a cheese filling, syrup, and nuts! It is said to have originated in Antioch, Turkey, but it is equally popular in countries of the eastern Mediterranean and the Middle East, where one finds different variations of the dessert with different names, such as Knafeh, Kunafa, or Kanahef.
