The Mach 1 handling and appearance package made for some good looking and comfortable Mustangs back in 1969, but the heat turned up when you ordered a 428 Cobra Jet with the 3.91 or 4.30:1 rear gear. The rear gear kicked off a handful of upgrades to form the Super Cobra Jet, a car that was intended to be a drag strip terror right off the showroom floor.
