Damage to property is dealt with under section 1 of the Criminal Damage Act 1971. This state that destruction or damage to property is a criminal offence and also sets out the offence when the defendant intends or is reckless to endangering life. Section 5 of the act also deals with defences such as consent or protection of the property.
