Damage to property is dealt with under section 1 of the Criminal Damage Act 1971. This state that destruction or damage to property is a criminal offence and also sets out the offence when the defendant intends or is reckless to endangering life. This video also looks at the definition of damage and destruction and property as per section 10 of the Criminal Damage Act 1971. Section 5 of the act also deals with defences such as consent or protection of the property.
