Johannesburg is the first in Africa and the 6th in the world to join the Cities Changing Diabetes programme, following Copenhagen, Houston, Tianjin, Shanghai and Mexico City. This project was initiated by global healthcare company, Novo Nordisk, working closely with local government and academic institutions. The team has been proactively and directly engaging with citizens to create awareness and promote healthy living.
