What is the differences between activated carbon and biochar?
Charcoal is best used as a fuel, activated carbon is best used as a means of adsorption, and biochar is best for soil conditioning and livestock feed, but can be used for all.
Biochar is black carbon produced from biomass sources [i.e., wood chips, plant residues, manure or other agricultural waste products] for the purpose of transforming the biomass carbon into a more stable form (carbon sequestration).
