Evacuation orders have been lifted for a fire burning in El Dorado County on Saturday, according to Cal Fire. The Steins Fire is off of Kingvale and Wildcrest roads, south of the town of El Dorado, officials said. Cal Fire initially said the fire had charred about 15 acres, but later clarified that 11 acres were burned due to better mapping. Forward progress was stopped around 3:10 p.m. Roads have reopened to residents only, officials said. No injuries were reported and no structures were destroyed. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
