Voting is now closed in all Australian states in the country's federal elections. More than 16 million people were eligible to cast their ballots.
Vote counting has begun, and exit polls will be available soon. It's expected to be a tight race between the ruling Liberal coalition, led by Prime Minister Scott Morrison, and the center-left Labor Party, led by Anthony Albanese. To form a majority government, either party must win a minimum of 76 of the 151 seats in the House of Representatives.
