I can always trust I’ll find hawk’s wings (Sarcodon imbricatus) while hunting mushrooms in the Rocky Mountains. They are quite common in spruce-fir forests. Although they are strong-tasting and some people find them bitter in some regions, ours taste good to me and I enjoy them in many preparations. Tonight will be in hawk’s wings tacos:)
