I'm slowly but also not so surely getting better at crouch kicks. On keyboard, the strat is to bind two keys to jump and crouch that you can press with one finger but I don't have such an elegant option. I'm just working at becoming more precise at them with my normal layout.
I hit 3/4 crouch kicks during this run instead of 2/4 in my 10.3, but they weren't perfectly timed, and I lost a lot of my speed just before the last crouch kick thanks to the weird route I had.
Most of the time gained over the 10.3 is the start with extra speed thanks to the extra crouch kick routed in. All I need is some good execution for a run where it all comes together, even just hitting that first crouch kick and not messing up the route would mean a faster run and probably be enough to break 10.
Let's see where the gauntlet will take us!...
