How to dry your boots in the forest – an easy outdoors bushcraft tip that will enhance your wilderness survival skills.

Everyone knows how to get their boots wet. It is pretty easy. Much harder is to get them dry again. Especially if you are on a longer camping trip. But do not worry, there are some tips and tricks you can apply even in the forest.

First of all, remove the laceses and take out insoles. If you have an abundance of toilet paper, use it to dry your boots. Just put some inside your footwear and let it absorb the moisture. It may be wise to change the paper once in a while. Repeat the process until the result satisfies your needs.

You can also use hot rocks that you have warmed up beside the fire. But be careful, extreme heat can damage your boots permanently. You should take that in to account when you hang your footwear near the fire to dry. So, choose a spot, that is not too close and not too far away.
