A lot of new traders try to find advice to buy stocks and generally think Guru traders know something about the future or about hidden secrets of trading.
The reality is no one knows the future.
So there are two things you should distinguish in this matter. If you are looking for a mentor or someone who teaches you some strategies and techniques this is actually a good thing. Because you will get some trading skills which is totally fine and may be prerequisite to start a career in trading.
The thing wrong I am speaking about is those traders who seek stock picks without knowing the real strategy behind. This is very dangerous thing.
Thats why for me I have never relied on any stock picks from Gurus when I start trading.
