Your needs are the driving force behind why you do what you do. Consciously or unconsciously your needs will override all other aspects of your psychology in order to be met. That's why you can sometimes find yourself in miserable situations in spite of having the best intentions. If ignored, your needs will drag you away from your values and your highest aspirations. Some way or another you will try to meet your top needs. The question is are you doing that in a negative, destructive way? Or in a positive, constructive way?
