This Virtual Public Information Meeting for the NM 500 Rio Bravo Bridge Replacements Study (CN 301000) in the Albuquerque Metro Area was held on December 9, 2020. At the meeting several topics regarding the project were covered including:
• Project location and limits in the Albuquerque Metro Area’s South Valley
• Description of emergency bridge repair work and associated closure which occurred in early 2020
• Description of the project history, existing bridge condition and explanation of the environmental and study-phase preliminary design process which will ultimately lead to final design and construction of new bridge (anticipated to begin in 2024)
• Review of preliminary design alternatives for the bridge replacements
