Apply for LMIA Supported Job Offer Like This ! 😍🇨🇦
MUST KNOW :
Employers may NOT respond & maybe picky:
If you randomly apply for any jobs on the Job Bank website, the employers will NOT respond to your application. You must specifically search for jobs that are open to international candidates !
You can either do it by Going to the Advanced search page - Enter a job title and a Canadian location where you want to work - Scroll down to the "Intended applicants" filters - Check the box "Canadians and international candidates" - Click on "View results" at the top of the page..Or... You may simply type in your job title in the search box & write LMIA after the job title (as shown in the reel) and ensure that the employer has an APPROVED LMIA.
Prefer to apply for a job that matches your educational background & previous work experience. Do NOT aim for very high level positions, you may want to start applying with Entry to Mid level jobs for better chances of being selected.
FAQs
1. I am a Temporary Foreign Worker (outside Canada), Do I need an LMIA?
Yes, in the majority of cases, a temporary foreign worker must have an APPROVED LMIA job offer from a valid Canadian employer and a Work Permit based on that job offer, to be able to work legally in Canada.
2. I am an International Student in Canada, Do I need an LMIA supported job offer?
Usually, international students are qualified to apply for PGWP and therefore they do not need an LMIA to be able to work in Canada. However, having an LMIA supported job can certainly help them increase their Express Entry points SIGNIFICANTLY, depending on which NOC job offer they get.
