Barely two weeks have passed since the first permanent crew of the International Space Station (I-S-S) first checked into their new quarters and already there is news of a second crew.
Scheduled to fly to the I-S-S in February 2001, another three-person crew will replace Bill Shepherd, Sergei Krikalev and Yuri Gidzenko aboard the space station.
At Russia's Star City space training facility, the crew of the I-S-S-Two, as it's known in NASA, undergo rigorous training.

"Early next year we'll get another U-S module that'll enhance the functionality of the space station and allow us to do a lot more science and experimentation which is what the space station was basically designed to do. So for the meantime this is their home and everybody's pretty much excited about it."
