My time in Georgia changed the way I see travel. I used to think expensive places were safer to visit, while inexpensive places were less safe. This trip to Georgia flipped that idea on its head. It is incredibly safe, and also wildly affordable.

For example, my favorite hotel of the trip was the Rooms Hotel in Stepantsminda, which costs $120 a night. If it were in my home country of Canada, a hotel of that quality and location would be $500-$1000 a night.

It went on like this for the full 13 days; constantly surprised by the amenties, the people, and the great value this country provided in terms of "travel ROI". Every dollar you invest into adventure here, will go three times as far as it would in a more 'developed' nation.

I highly recommend those of you who are interested in mountain adventure to visit Georgia. You will see and do more, for less, and have truly rare experiences. For me, that's sort of what travel is all about.
