Volodymyr Zelenskyy visited the Menorah memorial at the Babyn Yar National Historical and Memorial Reserve.
Friday's International Holocaust Remembrance Day coincides with the anniversary of the Red Army’s liberation of the Auschwitz death camp 78 years ago, Nazi Germany's largest concentration and extermination camp.
Elsewhere in the world on Friday, events were planned to mark International Holocaust Remembrance Day, an annual commemoration established by a United Nations resolution in 2005.
