Today I took my TBS Discovery/GoPro quadcopter to Virginia Minnesota to see if I could find an open pit mine to fly in. The boys and I stopped at the gate of the mine you see in this video to see if they would let me fly a bit - they said that due to 9/11 nobody is allowed to tour or otherwise view the operation. However, we were allowed to go up to a lookout across the road and I flew from there.
