A diabetic patient of mine had moved down south two years ago to care for his grandfather. While away he was able to receive medical care for his diabetes, but no foot care. As a result, his toenails have grown completely out of control. They are fungal, thick, twisted, and a few are bent backwards.
He also has thick calluses that are close to becoming ulcers. Now that he is back in DC he can receive the foot care that he so desperately needs.
