This is a partial How-To that will be posted in a written guide on how to make half inch blowgun darts. The goal was to use cheap, household materials. These darts are semi-reusable and water resistant. I say semi-reusable because they work fine in blowguns, but certain pneumatic guns will destroy the cones or the nails themselves if they are too powerful.
This design should be scale-able for 1/4" - 3/4" bore without much issue, though I haven't tried anything besides 1/2".
The written guide will have all of the measurements and such needed to make the darts, but for those curious:
The PVC pipe is 1/2" ID.
The Duck Tape is layered horizontally across the cutting board and cut every 2 1/4".
Measuring 1" from the side and cutting a 45 degree angle will yield the largest sized tab possible for sticking the dart together. (the triangle itself is 23mm x 23mm)
Any filling glue can be used; hot glue is cheap and fast.
The nails are randomly from my shed, 2.5" long.
