This is a music video for Ursula K. Le Guin's book, A Wizard of Earthsea. (A better title might be the "Deed" or "Song of Ged." I decided on the tile because "Deed of Sparrowhawk" just sounds cool to those not familiar with the book.)
In the late 70s, M. Elizabeth Osborn encouraged me to read this book. It was one of the first offerings in young adult fantasy literature, predating our deluge of modern works, like Harry Potter. I recently reread it and realized that the central theme centers around a Taoist acceptance of self, and so, finding no palatable recordings of what seemed to be an obvious theme for a song, I decided to write one for it with that in mind.
This then is the video for that song. I dedicate it to the memory of the person that I knew as Betty-O.
