In this video, we use the formal definitions of finite and infinite and look at examples in which we determine whether a set is finite or infinite.
A set is finite means that the number of elements in the set is a whole number.
If there is no particular whole number that gives the number of elements in the set, then the set is infinite.
The term "whole numbers" refers to the set {0,1,2,3,... }. The term "natural numbers" refers to all the whole numbers except 0.
