Houston Orienteering Club’s 2023 Score O Orienteering meet took place at Tom Bass park in Houston, Texas on October 14th, 2023. We had
This orienteering competition began by allowing competitors 2 minutes to study the map before starting the mass start. Competitors had a 1 hour time limit to navigate the map with compass to as many of the marked locations as possible valued at 1 to 3 points each, for up to a total of 40 possible points.
Out of the 320+ entries, only 32 were able to score all 40 points, and the quickest time was a blazing 38:02!
