Do you need to know the easiest way to install an aftermarket amplifier with your factory stereo? In this video I give a snapshot of the factory wiring colors and location in the 2023 Chevy Silverado to help guide you into the installation of an aftermarket 4-channel amplifier. This was the beginning phase of adding a Scosche active LOC, Kicker 4-channel amp (CX 360.4 Class AB), Kicker component speakers in the front (47KSS6904), and Kicker 2-way speakers (47KSC6704) in the rear. This has been installed with the factory 12" screen without bose. The factory tuner location with the multi-pin harnesses (29) is located behind the glove box on the passenger side of the truck with one plug being gray and the other black. I found 7 speaker wires in the gray harness and 1 in the black plug. The other four wire colors I do not list are for the tweeters which is due to the installation of the component speaker crossovers. I ran wire to them directly from the crossover since I installed all six speakers myself. I have listed below in the description the colors of the wires for each speaker location. I tested each speaker to verify accuracy with a 9-volt battery to pop each of them at their location. This video definitely helps due to the fact that you can find all different kinds of wiring diagrams online with different colors and locations which may or may not be correct.
