First time expanding a driveway and we share all of the lessons we learned during this process.
This week's video is all about expanding our ingle car driveway to a 2 car driveway to match our 2 car garage. Eddy is still out so Sam goes over all the steps we needed to take to pour a new driveway and replace the sidewalk in front of the house.
The first step is to get an A permit from the Bureau of Engineering and once the permit is issued, you must call for a pre-inspection before doing any work. The inspector will tell you up to where you must replace on the sidewalk, curb and gutter.
Once you demo all of that area, you set your new forms and put in crushed miscellaneous base, and call for another inspection. The inspector verifies your forms and that you have base under the forms. Once you get the okay from the inspector, you are ready to pour.
