टॉन्सिल में सूजन की वजह से खाना खाने में, पानी पीने में और कुछ लोगों को तो सांस तक लेने में दिक्कत आने लगती है. अगर लगातार इंफेक्शन रहे, तो ये पूरे शरीर में भी फैल सकती है. इसलिए सबसे आसान तरीका होता है टॉन्सिल को निकलवा देना. समस्या को जड़ से ही उखाड़ दिया जाता है. बताया जाता है कि भारत में आज से तीन हजार साल पहले भी ये सर्जरी की जा रही थी.
