Summary:

What a lovely drama this is. I've watched all the episodes literally hundreds of times, both raw and subtitled. Despite the language barrier (I don't understand Chinese), I still found the play quite entertaining. Probably because of the well crafted script and the fact that the cast is beautiful and graceful. Most of them are new, new to the business, which is surprising in itself, as they show a great game. When you have a good cast, it's usually hard to go wrong.

In fact, this drama should come with a warning! high dependency.

I am in love with the main girl, Chen Xiao Xi. She is very sweet and full of energy. She knows what she wants and goes for it. At the age of 16, she wanted Jiang Chen, a talented and proud boy in her class.

This drama is about 19 years of their lovely innocent romantic life. Judging by the trailers for the upcoming episodes, it won't all be roses; Lots of excitement and drama. But having said that, these are mainly the lovely scenes that will leave you mesmerized!

The play has been compared to Japan's Itazura no Kiss, which I believe has the same thread where an arrogantly talented boy meets an eccentric girl. I think the difference I love is that in "Love Is So Beautiful" the audience is given a chance to learn that the boy genius actually fell in love with the girl from the start. We see how he gets jealous and uses a thousand ways to show the audience how much he cares for the girl. A thin smile, her eyes wide and groove, gleaming, smiling, smiling secretly, how sweet are her facial expressions.

There are apparently 23 episodes and a bonus extra episode at the end.
