I want to share this warning about Ford with you all. Back in October I was pulling into a Lowes with my wife's 2011 Ford Edge. I went to apply the brakes and the pedal went to the floor. I tried reapplying them but once again almost no braking power to stop. After coming to a stop with the parking brake I turned the car off then back on. The brake pressure was restored. I contacted Carman Ford in New Castle and brought it in for repairs. There was a recall on the brake booster which they replaced. The issues didn't show up again until February 14th as my wife had to emergency brake and once again the pedal went to the floor. Using swift thinking she swerved to avoid the cars and used the parking brake to come to a stop. I took it in once again to Carmon, this time I was livid with them. They looked the car over and couldn't find anything wrong once again. So, they told me to pick it up. I then took it to get a second opinion. They recommended trying to replace the master brake cylinder. Which we went through with. No problems until June 6th, 2017. I was merging into traffic and applied the brakes this time in rain. The pedal once again went to the floor with very little power. This time however the power never returned so I took videos. Once again taking it to Carmon Ford, I filed a claim with Ford Corporate sense this was getting dangerous. The manager Bob who I had been dealing with sense this started once again drove the car to his house and back. Showing no issues, they told me to replace the ECU and HCU (electronic and hydraulic ABS controller) costing $1,220 dollars. I was told to contact corporate to see if they would cover it. I contacted a girl by the name of Robin. She had me on and off hold for 52 minutes. Finally telling me that I would be applied for financial aid (ford paying for it). I waited two days while this went on. After hearing nothing I contacted Carman and spoke with Bob. He told me that it was denied from corporate and I would have to flip the bill. Frustrated at this point I called Corporate back and was told by Debbie that there was nothing on file and they weren't paying for the repairs. Telling me they couldn't contact Robin either. I told her to get me a manager which would contact me in 24 hours. The manager at corporate by the name of Sam contacted me and told me "Nothing they could do with the car out of warranty" I told them that this puts my wife's safety in great risk as they wouldn't even cover part of it. At this point we are taking the car back and getting rid of it. This is how Ford treats its customers. I've included the videos I showing this
