'Widerstehe doch der Sünde' performed by the Netherlands Bach Society for All of Bach. For a long time, this cantata was thought to be incomplete, as there are only three parts. The opposite became clear when a volume of libretti by Christian Lehms from 1711 came to light, containing the text from this cantata. It also clarified the occasion of the piece: Oculi, the fourth Sunday before Easter.
Recorded on February 1st 2014 at the Geertekerk, Utrecht. If you want to help us complete All of Bach, please subscribe to our channel [ Ссылка ] or consider donating [ Ссылка ].
