Progressive Picking is the quintessential guide to modern picking techniques as taught by Stephen Taranto. "The purpose of this course is to shed some light on how I traverse the strings, while keeping things as clean and as fast as possible. We're gonna go in-depth into the mechanics of alternate picking and expand on palm-muting and other techniques that I like to use such as sliding, sweep picking, and hammer-ons and pull-offs. Use these exercises as a strong foundation for alternate picking and take your time to build up to the speed you desire!”

Stephen Taranto is known for his technical and aggressive virtuosity showcased in his band The Helix Nebula, as well as his solo material. He has curated a number of examples and ideas which he has utilized over the years which will shine light on his approach to the electric guitar.

The first new solo material from Stephen in over 5 years, "The Saboteur" features Stephen at his deadliest, with a combination of modern techniques and compositional abilities that push the new single to new heights. This is one of two songs fully transcribed in the Progressive Picking course.
