Take a ride on the new Big Bang water slide at Galaxy Erding (Therme Erding) in Germany! Big Bang is a hybrid ride made of both fiberglass and stainless steel elements. The ride consists of an enclosed slide leading into a giant funnel which is a slightly smaller version of The Big Wave's funnel at their outdoor water park. Contrary to most funnel slides by other manufacturers, guests swing into the opposite direction of the funnel's exit first before they eventually change their direction. This makes for a unique ride experience, even though the funnel is a bit less intense than Galaxy's outdoor version of the slide. After the funnel, riders pass through an enclosed tunnel. As of now, this part of the ride is pitch black, however, light effects might be added later. Right before reaching the shallow runout lane (which is curved by the way), guests pass through a small ascend which is a nice feature.

Since Galaxy Erding was already full of slides, it was considered impossible to add such a huge ride as there was simply no space available. In the end, the manufacturer managed to squeeze the ride into the hall.
