The Hong Kong Science Museum, opened in 1992, is located in Tsim Sha Tsui, a three-storey building, adjacent to the Hong Kong Museum of History. There are 18 exhibition areas and about 500 exhibits in the museum.
The exhibits are distributed in five main exhibition halls, namely Introduction to the Exhibition, Science, Life Science, Technology and the Children's Corner designed for children aged three to seven. Eighty percent of the exhibits can be touched and operated by visitors, so visitors can experience the technology. The Hong Kong Science Museum is a place full of knowledge and fun, where visitors and the public can discover the mysteries of science for themselves, most suitable for science-loving friends of all sizes to visit.
The museum has different scientific exhibits from the ground floor to the third floor. The ground floor lobby mainly shows some public knowledge of science and technology, such as simple optical experiments. On the first floor are exhibits focusing on computers, introducing the structure and applications of computers and artificial intelligence. The second-floor hall focuses on everyday technology, where you can learn to fly an airplane in a flight simulator and soar over Hong Kong. The third-floor exhibition hall introduces various ways to save energy and will also analyze in detail the problems caused using fossil fuels.
