Excel files are sometimes large, accidentally bloated and you want to shrink the file size. There is a brand new Excel Online feature coming to Desktop soon called "Check performance" which reduces size from the most common culprit formatting on unused cells. I go through this method and alternatives for those without that feature, on the Inquire tab, how to check it and manually remove it
