Stuck in GRUB Rescue mode? Here is the solution for booting into your Linux distro from GRUB Rescue.
Set of commands used:
1) On GRUB Rescue Boot Screen
set root=(hd0,X)
set prefix=(hd0,X)/boot/grub
insmod normal
normal
2) On Terminal
sudo update-grub
sudo grub-install /dev/sda
GRUB can be corrupted by a number of ways. So be careful when playing with GRUB.
