Comparing a pair of Timberland 40 Below Super Boots from 1987 with a pair of Timberland 8 Inch Waterproof boots. Very rarely are brands able to maintain their highest quality standards once they reach a certain point and strive to cut their expenses while simultaneously increasing profits. I can't confidently say that Timberland is an exception to this—despite what you'll see in this comparison, especially when considering the quality of most general release Timberland boots—but they went the extra mile with both of these boots, giving customers like myself another opportunity to get a taste of the old, golden days.
