This is a very old cactus and it is absolutely covered in large, sweet smelling flowers that attract hundreds of bees. My grandmother started growing this cactus in the late 1950's. The cactus produces an edible fruit that is considered a super food because it is packed with nutrition. Beautiful plant when in bloom and a great structure when not in bloom. It is easy to grow from seed, just be patient.
