Here's an awesome USA made Music Man SUB 5 bass. This is one of the early versions made in Luis Obispo, California before the SUB line was moved overseas. It's very similar to the Sting Ray Classic 5 series with a slab body (poplar I believe) with the famed 2 band MM EQ and active Music Man humbucking pickup. The neck is maple (painted matte black) with a 11-inch radius rosewood fretboard and 21 high-profile, wide frets. This is a 34-inch scale instrument with a 1 3/4-inche wide nut. The neck is attached to the body with six bolts and it has the usual Music Man truss rod wheel which makes for very easy adjustments. This bass is around 10 lbs in weight and very comfortable to play. The neck is fantastic with a beautiful slab of rosewood for the fretboard. The body has a light texture to the matte finish.
Everything works well and the bass sounds great. There are a few light scratches and play wear. The worst are the finish dings pictured at the end of the headstock. I picked this up a while back but find I just don't need a 5 string bass very often and want to make some room at home for another instrument. It currently has a new set of DR Strings DDT5-55 (55-135) on it and plays great.
