Georgia as a country to road trip has been pretty epic. The northern most point of the Georgian Military Road is famous for its dramatic scenery and the Gergeti Trinity Church, perched high above the town of Kazbegi, with stunning panoramic views of thr Caucasus mountains.
We wanted to drive our truck up to the monastery and park overnight, but as we reached the start of the approach road, we were told that the road was damaged and the only way up was an off-road track which we were too big for!
We had to settle for a local 4x4 taxi for a 20 minute ride to the church - would we have made it in Tonka?

We're currently in Georgia and (fingers crossed!) we'll get into Azerbaijan, on the edge of the Caspian Sea.
