Pressure continues to mount on Robert Mugabe to resign as president.
Impeachment proceedings against Mugabe are expected to start today. Zimbabwe's axed vice president Emmerson Mnangagwa and former Zambian President Kenneth Kaunda - both old liberation colleagues of Mugabe - are said to be planning meetings with him in efforts to persuade him to go.
