One of the things I look forward to whenever I hop on a campaign in Rising Storm 2: Vietnam is the ending cutscene. Regardless of whether you win or lose, whether you're south or north, the cutscene is put together phenomenally well- everything from the score to the sweeping camera motions. It gets a chef's kiss from me.

Although, of course the "canonical" ending cutscene feels the best for me. Playing and winning as the Northern team just feels so much more satisfying- because the gameplay is asymmetrical *and you are the one at a disadvantage.* You're the underdog fighting off the most technically advanced army the world has ever known- with punji traps and Mosins. The roster of weapons at your disposal as a VC are far harder to master, although when you do get to that point, they are some of the best weapons in the game.


Rising Storm 2: Vietnam is the final installation to date of the Red Orchestra franchise, developed by Tripwire Interactive and Antimatter Games. It is a fast-paced tactical shooter set in the Vietnam war, where players face off in the context of asymmetrical warfare and aim to control the objectives of the day.
