On Tuesday, August 8, the U.S. Department of State hosted an interactive webchat featuring experts from Amazon Web Services sharing their thoughts on artificial intelligence (AI) and the benefits it can provide startups. Viewers from across the world - including audiences at U.S. embassies, American Spaces, and private organizations - submitted questions in real-time for the panelists.
Artificial intelligence is now everywhere in our day-to-day lives - whether it’s ordering household products, searching the internet, playing music, providing weather forecasts, or many of the other purposes AI can serve. Entrepreneurs all over the world are also embracing solutions AI can provide to their businesses by improving efficiency and making their products more user-friendly and accessible to consumers.
The discussion covered a wide range of topics, including:
- How startups can use AI to improve efficiency and cut costs
- How AI will impact business operations and strategies in the next 5 years
- What applications of AI are accessible to entrepreneurs in regions with limited access to capital
- What are the risks of AI
- How AI is innovating different sectors including health care and finance;
- How students and young entrepreneurs can become knowledgeable in AI
The program also featured Arabic and French interpretation.
